ڰ Associate Professor of Justice Studies and Women's, Gender and Sexuality Studies Adam M. Messinger has published his second book, “Transgender Intimate Partner Violence: A Comprehensive Introduction.” The book is published by New York University Press.

ڰ is one of nine institutions from around the United States to be honored by the Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation (CAEP) for its leadership and commitment to continuous improvement. The Frank Murray Leadership Recognition for Continuous Improvement awardees were selected from the educator preparation providers that were granted accreditation by CAEP at the initial level from the previous year, that provided evidence, and that demonstrated data trends with no stipulations or areas for improvement.
The U.S. Department of Education has awarded three grants to ڰ in support of TRIO Student Support Services (TRIO SSS), a program that provides individualized academic and social assistance to students from their freshman year through graduation. ڰ is the only university in the state to be awarded more than two TRIO grants.
The book, which was released April 15 and is available to read online, centers on the works of African writers, scholars, artists and activists and their pursuits for justice in various forms, namely environmental, social, intimate, and restorative.
