Citlali, who received her Sociology degree in 2016, is currently a kindergarten dual-language teacher in Chicago Public Schools and a busy volunteer with several activist organizations.

Garo is a Marketing Professor in NEIU’s College of Business and Technology. He loves the great education, wonderful environment, and affordable tuition that ڰ offers.

Deep is a Computer Science graduate student from India who received his BA there in 2018. After moving to the United States in 2022  he realized he wanted the edge that skills gained with a graduate degree would give him.

Helena took a big leap and left her home country of Brazil to transfer to ڰ. She says receiving her B.A. degrees in biology and chemistry from NEIU in 2023 prepared her well for continuing her studies at NYU.

Isaura teaches in the Departments of Educational Foundations, Community and Teacher Leaders, and Latino and Latin American Studies. “Students don’t just learn from me—they learn powerfully from one another,” she says.

As a young writer, Olivia once saw Gwendolyn Brooks read at NEIU. Now, she teaches Creative Writing and several English courses here. A lifelong Chicagoan, she received her MFA from The School of the Art Institute of Chicago.
