ڰ partners with Heartland Health Centers for COVID-19 vaccination site

ڰ is allowing Heartland Health Centers to utilize part of its Physical Education Complex to provide COVID-19 vaccinations for its current 27,000 patients, many of whom live on the North and Northwest sides of Chicago.

ڰ, City Colleges of Chicago awarded Equity Transfer Initiative grant

The American Association of Community Colleges has awarded ڰ and the City Colleges of Chicago an Equity Transfer Initiative (ETI) partner grant. This partnership will improve the transfer process from the City Colleges to ڰ. It is the only grant in the state and one of 16 partnerships from 13 states, representing 17 community colleges and 19 universities.

Mateo Farzaneh publishes second book, “Iranian Women and Gender in the Iran-Iraq War”

In September 1980, less than two years after Iran’s Islamic Revolution, Iraq invaded Iran and began a war that lasted for nearly a decade. The war hasn’t received much academic attention, and the role of women in the war hasn’t been discussed until now.
