ºÚ°µ±¬ÁÏÍø has received a Tree Campus Higher Education recognition from the Arbor Day Foundation for promoting healthy trees and engaging the University community in conservation efforts.
Following a comprehensive internal search process, Dr. Katrina E. Bell-Jordan was named Interim President of the University for a one-year period beginning July 1, 2023.
Effective Aug. 19, 2024, 11 members of the faculty will receive tenure and promotion to the rank of associate professor. Additionally, 10 faculty members will be promoted to the rank of professor and three have earned Professional Advancement Increases.
ºÚ°µ±¬ÁÏÍø has entered into a new partnership with ASPIRA of Illinois to help ASPIRA teachers gain their Learning Behavior Specialist (LBS I) Endorsement over the summer.
World-renowned presidential historian and Pulitzer Prize-winning, bestselling author Doris Kearns Goodwin will be the Daniel L. Goodwin Distinguished Lecture Series speaker on Sept. 17.
John Bliss, who served as a Senior Instructor for ºÚ°µ±¬ÁÏÍø's Department of Communication, Media and Theatre (CMT), died on July 10, 2024. He was 66 years old.
