In my class room, I emphasize hands-on learning, research integration, and lifelong learning skills. Above all, I want students to “learn how to learn” so they can thrive long after graduation.

As faculty at NEIU, we are empowered to develop student-focused research, lead institutional initiatives, and shape campus policy. I’ve had the chance to design and lead research projects that directly involve undergraduates and are supported by internal and national funding—opportunities that may not be as readily accessible at larger or more traditional institutions.

And by teaching Computer Science, I feel we are building the foundation for shaping the future. It combines logic and creativity to build systems that improve lives—from healthcare tech to clean energy to global communication. You’re not just coding; you’re solving big problems and adapting to change. The skills you gain—problem-solving, innovation, resilience—will serve you in any industry.
