Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) Program

We're looking for Volunteers and Interns for Spring 2026!
Come learn how you can gain real-world experience, IRS tax training, and make a positive impact by assisting community members, including international and military filers.
The VITA Program is currently looking for:
- Management Interns
- Marketing Interns
- Tax Preparation Volunteers
All positions are unpaid, but participants can earn course credit and valuable hands-on experience through this community service opportunity.

About the Program
Sponsored by the IRS and NEIU’s College of Business & Technology, VITA offers free tax filing services to the community. Students from any major can volunteer. Training and materials are provided.

IRS Certified Volunteers Providing Free Tax Services
IRS VITA/TCE program offers free tax preparation by IRS-certified volunteers. Services may be limited based on availability. We provide priority services to seniors as required by law. Disability services are also available.
