Expertise
Dr. Williams has more than 11 years of progressively responsible experience directing, assessing, and shaping academic success and instructional support programs designed to improve retention, graduation, and other measures of student success. He has devoted much of his career focusing on ameliorating social inequities and inequalities by strategically working with programs that support underrepresented and/or marginalized groups. Dr. Williams has several years of experience creating, managing, and enhancing systemic and systematic institution programs and initiatives that have yielded positive student outcomes. He has held a leadership role at an MSI, a PBI and an HSI, since 2008.

Background
Before coming to ºÚ°µ±¬ÁÏÍø, Dr. Williams was the Director of Student Success Initiatives at Community College of Philadelphia. Prior to that, Dr. Williams was the Coordinator for First-Year Student Programs at Temple University in Philadelphia.
Additional Information
Some other roles include being a reviewer for the Journal of College and Character, as well as participating as an editorial board member of the Journal of Student Affairs Research and Practice. He also currently serves as the NASPA (Student Affairs Administrators in Higher Education) Region IV-E Assessment, Evaluation, and Research Knowledge Community representative and has held a leadership role in the National Academic Advising Association (NACADA). Dr. Williams has an earned Doctorate and Masters in Higher Education Administration from Temple University and more than 5 years of teaching experience at four- and two-year institutions. He has published and presented nationally and internationally on topics such as: student access, educational equity, student retention and academic success, strategic planning and policy reformation, and academic and student affairs collaborations.
