The College of Arts and Sciences has made name changes to two departments as well as a major and a minor to highlight new course offerings. Students can continue to register for the New Multicultural Student Orientation sessions and remote Safe Zone Training sessions for faculty begin next week. �ڰ������� Assistant Professor of TESOL Ulugbek Nurmukhamedov has co-edited his first book, “New Ways in Teaching with Games.” 

For the past three months, �ڰ�������’s buildings have been closed due to COVID-19. Next week, the Student Union will be the first building to reopen to students on the Main Campus with social distancing measures in place.

The Ronald Williams Library expanded its Japanese American Redress Collection, the 2020 Bernard J. Brommel Distinguished Research Professor award was announced, an assistant professor published his third book, and of course we can’t forget about celebrating the spring graduates!

�ڰ�������’s College of Arts and Sciences has changed the name of its Art department to Art + Design and the department, major and minor of Women’s and Gender Studies to Women’s, Gender and Sexuality Studies beginning in the Fall 2020 semester.

When the COVID-19 pandemic began changing everyday life at �ڰ�������, Assistant Professor of English Ryan Poll looked to literature for answers and developed a series for PopMatters. 

The Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation (CAEP) has granted �ڰ�������’s Daniel L. Goodwin College of Education accreditation at the initial-licensure level and advanced-level.
