ºÚ°µ±¬ÁÏÍø’s College of Arts and Sciences has changed the name of its Art department to Art + Design and the department, major and minor of Women’s and Gender Studies to Women’s, Gender and Sexuality Studies beginning in the Fall 2020 semester.

ºÚ°µ±¬ÁÏÍø senior Natasha Overton has a master plan. She will graduate in 2014 with her heart in arts education and her mind on the future:

2015 – Enter a master’s degree program

2018 – Graduate with a master’s degree

2020 – Return to ºÚ°µ±¬ÁÏÍø to teach and start a local, comprehensive arts program

While this case study is ongoing, it certainly looks promising—and there are many more where it came from. In the six years since its launch, ºÚ°µ±¬ÁÏÍø’s is proving to be a valuable and versatile resource for hundreds of students in the science, technology, engineering and math disciplines. The goal is not only to graduate those students, but also to provide them with a holistic preparation for their post-graduation lives, whether that’s in industry, government agency or academia.

ºÚ°µ±¬ÁÏÍø’s Main Campus will be the site of the 2024 El Gran Festival Colombiano/The Great Colombian Festival, July 19-21.
