Cook County Board President Toni Preckwinkle

Cook County Board President will speak at 窪做惇蹋厙 on March 8 as part of (Honoring Women in Public Service and Government) and to celebrate International Womens Day.

Preckwinkle, a community leader for more than two decades, will speak at 4:15 p.m. in the Recital Hall on 窪做惇蹋厙s , 3701 W. Bryn Mawr Ave. following a 3 p.m. reception.

has a strong commitment to raising women of color as role models to promote our students' imagination of a place for themselves at the tables where important decisions are made, said Nancy Matthews, professor and coordinator of the Department of Womens and Gender Studies. President Preckwinkle is the perfect candidate to express these various concerns and goals.

This event is free and open to the public and is co-sponsored by Government Relations, Office of the President, and Womens and Gender Studies.
