Choosing a college is a family journey, and at NEIU, we’re excited to take that journey with you. Latinx Family Day brings students and their families together to learn about the college experience, understand the steps to getting there, and connect with the people and resources that make our community strong. From navigating admissions to discovering campus support services, this event is all about making sure your family feels confident, welcomed, and prepared for what’s ahead.

The event is open to admitted students and their families. At this event, students and families can:

• Attend a Financial Aid workshop
• Join the El Centro and Proyecto Pa’lante presentation: Your Path to College Success seminar
• Sit in on a mock college class
• Learn about and apply to program and university scholarships
• Attend a student panel with El Centro and Proyecto Pa’Lante students

We look forward to welcoming you to NEIU El Centro! The day’s agenda includes:

8:30 a.m. – Check-In & Breakfast

8:50 a.m. – Welcome speech!

9:00 a.m. – Financial aid presentation

9:40 a.m. – El Centro Presentation

10:00 a.m. – Proyecto Pa'Lante Presentation

10:20 a.m. – Student Panel

11:00 a.m. – Break!

11:15 a.m. – Mock Classes (45 mins)

12:05 p.m. – Next Steps & Tour

1:00 p.m. – Lunch, Prizes & Goodbye!
