Support the Work of GHRAD

Thank you for supporting the Genocide and Human Rights Research in Africa and the Diaspora (GHRAD) Center!

The GHRAD Center at ºÚ°µ±¬ÁÏÍø is a space for critical engagement, global awareness, and collective action. Through research, creative expression, and community-building, the Center shines a light on genocide, systemic violence, and the urgent need for justice and remembrance.

GHRAD brings together students, faculty, and international collaborators to examine the histories and lived realities of African communities and the diaspora. From documenting survivor testimonies in Burundi to organizing public exhibits and discussions, the Center offers life-shaping experiences grounded in truth, dignity, and resistance.

What Your Support Makes Possible

  • Amplifying survivor voices — helping make the stories and experiences of genocide survivors heard, remembered, and honored on a global stage

  • On-the-ground research opportunities, such as travel to Burundi to document testimonies from survivors of the 1972 genocide

  • Artistic and academic storytelling through exhibits, panels, and conferences that challenge silence and elevate marginalized voices

  • Student-driven dialogue and activism that brings real change in the fight for justice and human rights

  • A supportive community where students grow as researchers, artists, and advocates
