Writing Tutoring
LSC/CAW provides free, peer-led writing support for all NEIU students.
Students are encouraged to work with Writing Tutors frequently and throughout the writing process to develop strong academic writing skills. Writing Tutors work with students one-on-one to develop their skills across the writing process. Writing Tutors do not check, proofread, or edit student work. Rather, they work collaboratively with students to improve all aspects of their writing and provide strategies and resources.
Appointments are strongly encouraged.
LSC/CAW Writing tutors are also available to students admitted to NEIU who are preparing to take the . Contact LSC/CAW to make an appointment!
All appointment times are available for in-person or online sessions with a tutor.

Tuesday, Jan. 20 through Friday, May 15
- Saturday: 11:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.
- Monday through Thursday: 8:30 a.m. - 7:00 p.m.
- Friday: 8:30 a.m.- 5:00 p.m.
- Sunday: 1:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.
LSC/CAW will be closed:
- Thursday, Feb. 12 for Lincoln's Birthday
- Monday, March 16 - Sunday, March 24 for Spring Break
